Caprylic acid is a short chain fatty acid found in human breast milk and also coconuts. It helps to maintain the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestine.

Calcium is normally absorbed in the body before it reaches the large intestine, however taking Caprylic acid bound to Magnesium and Calcium assists in releasing the Caprylic acid lower down in the large intestine.

Caprylic acid encourages the growth of the Lactic acid bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, and is best taken with a low yeast and low sugar diet.
